37 degrees

Some random cold front with A LOT of wind came through Austin in the last 36 hours. I am trying to make Tue. & Thur. my mornings to swim with T3, and this morning was particularly gonna be fun cause I was gonna swim, get cleaned up and go to Casa with my friend Brian. We had it all planned out.

As I lay in bed this morning, staring at the ceiling, wondering if I wanted to brave 37 degrees, an outdoor pool and wind...my phone beeped I had a text. (I mean, I wasn't gonna wimp out before Brian...COME ON!!!!)

Brian: I can't get the nerve to face these temperatures this morning. I am going to swim at lunch today to avoid the freeze.

Colleen: we are on the same page! (except that I wasn't gonna be the one to cancel)

(I am KIDDING Brian....or am I?)

Anyway, I looked at the schedule for camp and we get in 3 swims this weekend so I will just do my run per my schedule later on and not worry about missing swim today.

after facing so many cold morning's & nights in jan/feb i just couldn't do it this morning. sun is out now! i'm stuck at work... either going to take a t3 workout with me to the gym later this afternoon or hit the 7pm swim with t3 (i'm just so sick of getting home so late!). i got an 1.5 hour spin in at home this morning on the trainer & 30 minute run through the neigborhood. i took my ID with me on my run & ended my run at the voting station & got my vote in for obama. kind of fun standing in line in my workout clothes :)

T3 Swim workout was packed this morning--yes, the freezing cold sucked!! I've learned that if I don't go in the mornings (no matter how painful it may seem), I'll never go! Gonna try for core again this week--any idea who's teaching since Pat is out of town?

You wuss! Next time get your ass up and get in the pool. It is warm in the pool and I swim much faster when it is cold outside because I don't want to stop.
